WEDNESDAY, MARCH 17 ADDED TO HEIVA I HONOLULU 2010 EVENT DATES
Heiva I Honolulu 2010 Organizing Committee prepares for the growing interest of participants in this year's Heiva I Honolulu at the Waikiki Shell Amphitheater by adding Wednesday, March 17, 2010 to the current set of event dates. The Solo Competition will be held on the first event date, Wednesday, March 17, 2010. Group Competition will follow from March 18 - 20, 2010.

TAHITI NUI INTERNATIONAL would like to welcome you
to the 8th annual Heiva i Honolulu. We are so excited to be
once more at the Waikiki Shell Amphitheatre, where our
Tahitian dance competition will be held on March 18-20, 2010.
Experience some of the most vibrant and energy driven dances
of the islands of Tahiti and French Polynesia. You'll be able to
immerse yourself in the Tahitian culture. From the fast hip shaking
of the tamure (ta-mu-re) to the gracefulness of the aparima
(a-pa-ri-ma), you'll be able to see first hand why Tahitian dance
(Ori Tahiti) has been known and recognized around the world.
Don't miss the Tahitian drumming. (Can you really miss those
pulsating and intricate beats pounding the Waikiki area?). They
are uniquely Tahitian and sure to make you feel like getting off
your seat. And don't forget the Tahitian handicrafts, black pearl
jewelry, and Polynesian goods. Not to mention the food –
